I think that the lit review was very helpful in forming a better understanding of our chosen fields. The annotated bibliography allowed us to observe conversations in our field, but the lit review allowed us to form our own ideas about those conversations. We got to expand our opinions of what is and is not properly addressed by finding research gaps. By doing so we are able to better our own understanding and expectations from our field. I think this makes us more prepared to actually enter into these areas and become more qualified members.
